When interest rates remained low, alternative forms of investment became attractive among insurers as they seek to maximize returns. Rates have risen, yet there remains increasing interest in alternative investments. It seems they are here to stay. Panelists will discuss the investment landscape and regulators’ efforts to ensure they understand the shifts. Specific focus will be given to the continued rise in private credit, the impact of any proposed regulatory loosening on banks, changes in alternative assets across regions, and the challenges for regulators in keeping up with the changes.
